“It’s easier to act your way into a new way of thinking, than to think yourself into a new way of acting.” -Jerry Sternin, The Power of Positive Deviance: How Unlikely Impostors Solve the World’s Toughest Problems
Welcome to Ramble on Fitness! I’m very excited for you to be here, and to have the chance share with you the things that I’ve learned about everything fitness related. I’m a work in progress, just like this site, and just like my training, but the goal is to always be headed onward and upward. I’m from New York, and the state motto is Excelsior, which translates to “ever upward.”
I try to live my life in all aspects with this thought in mind, when I was practicing Shotokan karate, to when I took up powerlifting and now as I return to the martial arts with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I humbly invite you to join me on my road, as I continue to see what my body is capable of – from building strength through powerlifting, developing a sense of self through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and honing the competitive spirit through both.
